Saint Elizabeth worked closely with Samsung Canada to outfit 5,000 remote healthcare workers with powerful mobile technology, which included GALAXY Tab S LTE-connected tablets with Knox Workspace. The solution provides both the applications and connectivity health workers need—without compromising security or compliance with strict healthcare privacy regulations.
The success of the pilot project has led to a national rollout of the Samsung tablet-based mobile solution. As part of its transition from paper to electronic record management, Saint Elizabeth can now deliver an even higher level of care to the people who depend daily on in-home services, while ensuring patient data stays protected.

Creating a custom tablet was the only path to meet these strict requirements. Using Samsung Tab PRO and Samsung Knox Customization, Mezzoglobal was able to deliver a perfectly tailored solution. The Tab PRO devices offered high-resolution displays, ideal for business-class customers to view premium media content. The slim design made it possible to equip existing seatbacks with minimal modification, satisfying FAA requirements. By using Knox Customization to restrict usage of the device features, Mezzoglobal was also able to prevent improper use of content and gain full control of the tablet, ensuring compliance with copyright regulations.
By replacing the existing legacy inflight entertainment systems with a new streamlined tablet solution, Mezzoglobal could reduce the weight of each seat by 2-4 kg, saving the airline tens of millions of dollars per plane in fuel costs annually. The Mezzoglobal solution on Samsung Tab PRO also gets Hollywood’s stamp of approval for security, which allows airlines to show “early-window” content such as movies not yet out on DVD. Customers can securely enjoy viewing a wide array of premium entertainment content on a stunning, high-resolution screen.
Mezzoglobal was founded in 2004. The company has its roots in the travel industry, where for many years it has helped to give air, marine, rail, and land passengers a better travel experience, while also helping travel operators to profit from these services.

Renault’s South Korean unit Renault Samsung Motors worked with mobile carrier SK Telecom to offer buyers of the QM3 compact urban crossover model a Tablet to Car (T2C) infotainment option built on the ruggedized Samsung Galaxy Tab Active tablet. Tailored with Samsung Knox Customization tools and services, the system offers all the convenience of a consumer device, including real-time data streaming and portability, and adds seamless connectivity to car controls.
Auto buyers responded positively. More than 30 percent of QM3 buyers have added the T2C system option, according to Renault Samsung Motors. These customers name portability and an enhanced entertainment value as key reasons for purchase. Renault Samsung Motors targets younger customers who demand a better experience and parents who want to keep their children occupied during car trips.
SK Telecom, established in 1984, is Korea’s largest telecommunications company with more than 28 million mobile subscribers, accounting for over 50 percent of the market. The company reached KRW17.164 trillion in revenue in 2014.
